FSSC
No-code develeopment, Custom made platform development, Service integrations, hosting
FSSC is a global non-profit and independent scheme owner of ISO Management System based certification schemes and related development programs. These schemes have been approved by the Global Food Safety Institute (GFSI) and offer an opportunity to achieve international harmonisation.
FSSC's IT system supports their process of conducting audits by auditors on behalf of a certification body. The purpose of this is to arrive at a public list of organizations in the food industry that are certified.
FSSC wanted to replace the existing IT system with a new solution to be ready for future developments. The new system had to meet the FSSC scheme requirements, as approved by the GFSI. Extra challenge: this had to be done in 4 months lead time.
"After the delivery of a new IT environment, in a very short time, we have been working successfully with Sowedo for years now. We do this in sprints based on continuous development"

The solution
We realized a tailor-made portal for FSSC in the no-code platform WEM. It was a challenge, but we made it within the set lead time of 4 months. We have drawn up the specifications and in 10 weeks we have already developed a first version of the tool. We also migrated all data from the old system to the new environment.
After commissioning, we further expanded the portal into a platform that provides all kinds of information from the audits to the food industry to maintain and further develop a safe food chain.
And it didn't stop there. We now have a successful collaboration with FSSC for many years. We work together in sprints based on continuous development.
The result
FSSC was able to quickly use the new system because we managed the migration in a very short time. In addition, the FSSC portal offers space for the registration of audits and certificates for organisations. Here are a few figures to give you an idea of the size of this case:
- 130 certifying organizations
- 3.000 auditors
- 30.000 certified organizations
- 70.000 audits
- 40.000 certificates
